Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility while promoting dignity and independence
• Take and record basic vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
• Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and care plans
• Support safe transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure continuity of care and resident comfort
• Engage residents with respect and empathy to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and performing physical aspects of resident care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of direct patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Proper use of lift/transfer techniques and resident safety
• Clear documentation and charting practices
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and resident-centered care
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
