Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality critical care nursing to adult patients in the ICU, using sound clinical judgment
Continuously monitor and interpret patient data to detect changes in condition and act promptly
Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and follow complex treatment plans with precision
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Respond to emergencies and use advanced life support skills when needed
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely in the medical record
Participate in orientation and unit-based learning to maintain competency and support peers

Qualifications

Current, active RN license in Kentucky (or eligible for Kentucky licensure)
Experience or demonstrated interest in ICU/critical care nursing
Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in high-acuity situations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and patient-centered

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Ventilator and airway management fundamentals
Medication administration and IV/infusion management
Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
