Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to enhance patient comfort
• Support nursing staff by taking vitals, assisting with mobility and transfers, and reporting changes in patient condition
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient care and observations in the facility charting system
• Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines to protect patients and coworkers
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure individualized, high-quality care plans are executed
• Bring a positive, professional presence that uplifts residents, families, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Travel CNA or T-CNA accepted)
• Ability to obtain or hold required state certification/licensure for New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable with long day shifts and flexible scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
• Knowledge of basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Familiarity with safe patient transfers and mobility techniques
• Understanding of infection control practices and medication safety basics
• Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
