Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 5-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days not provided), RN - PICU (orientation required)

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and act promptly to changes in condition
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and therapies safely, following protocols and best practices
Educate and support families through care, procedures, and discharge planning
Participate in orientation and unit training to maintain high-quality standards

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse license for Ohio
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Experience in pediatric critical care or PICU preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in pediatric assessment and monitoring
Familiarity with PICU equipment and documentation standards
Comfortable with IV/medication administration and titratable drips in pediatrics
Excellent teamwork, bedside manner, and family communication
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple acute patients safely
