Location: Wilkes Barre, PA

Start Date: 05-10-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift, schedule to be confirmed with facility (days and exact start/end times to be provided by hiring team)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care in accordance with facility policies
Administer medications and document patient responses accurately
Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the care team
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education with a smile
Maintain clear, timely documentation to support continuity of care

Qualifications

Current, active LPN license in Pennsylvania (required)
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Current immunizations and ability to pass background/health screenings
Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
Clinical experience preferred; new grads welcomed to apply and learn

Education

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program; high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of medication administration and charting
Ability to perform routine assessments and recognize changes in condition
Proficiency with electronic health records or willingness to learn
Good time management and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting
Comfortable working with diverse patient populations
