Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and prepare them for their visit to create a positive experience
Obtain and document vital signs and basic clinical information accurately
Assist providers with examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Perform routine clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection when trained
Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic health record to support continuity of care
Support clinic operations with appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and supply management

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
Strong patient communication skills and a professional bedside manner
Comfortable working with electronic health records and standard clinic equipment
Able to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
Experience with phlebotomy and specimen handling
Familiarity with immunization administration and documentation
Comfortable using electronic health records for charting and orders
Strong infection control practices and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills for patient education and front-line care
