Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg pediatric patients
Assess patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
Participate in orientation and unit training to maintain excellent standards of care

Qualifications

Current RN license (required for practice in Massachusetts)
Experience or background in Med/Surg and working with pediatric populations
Comfort participating in a formal orientation prior to independent assignment
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to meet facility credentialing and compliance requirements

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles
Pediatric patient care practices and family-centered approaches
Patient assessment, documentation, and care planning
Effective teamwork, time management, and prioritization under pressure
Professional bedside manner and patient education skills
