Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with respect and dignity
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility support
- Monitor and report changes in residents health and behavior to the nursing team
- Help maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
- Support team members during admissions, transfers and routine care tasks
- Document care accurately and promptly in accordance with facility policies
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification required in the state of Pennsylvania
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfort with providing hands-on personal care and working in a team
- Willingness to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic nursing fundamentals and infection control
- Skilled in safe resident handling and mobility assistance
- Strong observation skills to notice and report changes in condition
- Good time management and documentation practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
