Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care in the operating room
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth case flow
Prepare the OR environment, instruments, and supplies for procedures with meticulous attention to detail
Monitor patient condition and document care before, during, and after surgery
Advocate for patient safety and infection-control best practices in every case
Participate in team huddles and contribute to continuous process improvements

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications (ACLS, CNOR) encouraged
Previous operating room (OR) experience preferred; demonstrated perioperative skills a plus
Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking abilities
Ability to follow sterile technique and perioperative protocols consistently

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
Familiarity with surgical instruments, equipment, and OR setup
Strong clinical assessment and patient-monitoring skills
Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to remain calm and organized in fast-paced surgical environments
