Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care using sound triage principles
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to acute changes with confident clinical action
• Document care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance ED outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or eligible for licensure
• Minimum clinical experience in Emergency Department (ED/ER) preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and prioritization skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency setting

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of emergency nursing assessment and triage
• Proficiency in IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and acute care interventions
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
• Comfort using electronic health record systems and documenting care
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make timely, patient-centered decisions
