Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit
Perform ongoing patient assessment and monitor telemetry and vital signs
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow patient care plans
Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures, and discharge plans
Document patient status, interventions, and responses in the medical record promptly

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (KY license preferred)
Experience or comfort working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
Current BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage acuity in a step-down environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of PCU/step-down nursing principles and patient monitoring
Familiarity with telemetry and cardiac rhythm recognition
Skilled in medication administration and IV management
Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care accurately
Critical thinking and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
