Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality adult echocardiography exams including 2D, Doppler CW & PW to support accurate cardiac diagnosis
• Conduct 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) studies when indicated
• Evaluate valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease and effusions with precision
• Document findings thoroughly in Epic EMR and maintain accurate patient records
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as Canon i700 and i900 to ensure reliable imaging
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide patient-centered care and education, maintaining professionalism in personal scrubs/healthcare attire

Qualifications

• RDCS certification required (ARDMS or CCI certification accepted)
• Active AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
• Proven competency in adult echocardiography including 2D/3D imaging, Doppler CW & PW
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Comfortable floating to other departments and participating in on-call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Adult echocardiography: 2D mode, Doppler CW & PW, color flow mapping
• 2D and 3D TEE imaging
• Experience with valvular disease studies, cardiomyopathies, congenital and pericardial conditions
• Familiarity with Canon i700 and i900 imaging systems
• Proficiency documenting in Epic EMR
• Pediatric echocardiography experience is a plus
