Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide rapid, high-quality emergency nursing care and triage to patients across the lifespan
• Stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based interventions and advanced skills
• Manage ventilated patients, perform intubation support, and monitor chest tubes and arterial lines
• Administer and titrate IV therapies including vasopressors and continuous IV sedation safely
• Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac monitoring to guide treatment
• Care for central lines, blood product administration, and manage multisystem organ dysfunction
• Document clinical care accurately and efficiently in Epic to support patient safety and continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, Social Work, Radiology) to coordinate care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent emergency nursing experience
• Experience working with patient ratios around 1:4–1:5
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Certifications preferred: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Comfortable with pediatric and adult emergency presentations and procedures
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients including ventilated and trauma patients

• Emergency nursing and triage expertise
• Epic electronic charting
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
• Blood product administration
• Ventilator management and BiPAP/CPAP support
• Intubation support and chest tube management
• Arterial line management and ABG interpretation
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management
• Procedural sedation and titration of IV medications including vasopressors
• Neuro-trauma care, ICP monitoring familiarity, and stroke/STEMI workflows
