Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in both the Emergency Department and Med-Surg unit
• Provide high-quality nursing care, including medication administration and treatments per protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient care plans
• Document patient status and care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately to ensure patient safety
• Support department staffing needs across rotating day and night shifts, including holiday rotations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Clinical experience covering Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical nursing
• Comfortable working 12-hour rotating day and night shifts and every third weekend
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical-thinking skills
• Team player with excellent communication and documentation abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Nursing principles and rapid patient assessment
• Medical-Surgical nursing care and postop patient management
• Triage, prioritization, and situational awareness
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Clear, timely clinical documentation and charting
• Collaborative skills for working with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff
