Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered peri-procedural nursing care in the cardiac cath lab
• Assist physicians during RHC, LHC, peripheral procedures, pacemaker implants and other cath lab cases
• Perform pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure monitoring to ensure safe recovery
• Maintain sterile technique and support procedural workflow to optimize outcomes
• Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
• Respond rapidly to emergent situations and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations and follow-up care
• Participate in call coverage as scheduled to support continuous patient care

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (ability to submit required license)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (as specified)
• Cath lab experience or strong background in cardiac/peripheral procedures preferred
• Comfortable with call coverage and working in an acute care, high-acuity environment
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system

Education

• BSN not required (position does not mandate a BSN)
• Specific degree not stated beyond RN licensure requirement

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac catheterization procedures (RHC, LHC) and peripheral interventions
• Experience with pacemakers, IVC filters, ASD closures, dialysis catheters and port placements
• Strong acute care assessment and monitoring skills
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting
• Ability to multitask during busy procedural days (3-4 cases/day across 2 labs)
