Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic interventions and assist patients under the direction of the supervising physical therapist
• Support patient mobility, strength, and functional goals through therapeutic exercise and modalities
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately and communicate changes to the PT and care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to create patient-centered care plans
• Assist with patient education on home programs, safety, and independence
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Wyoming or eligible for WY licensure
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
• Comfortable working in a long-term care/rehab setting and collaborating with a recovery-focused team
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with therapeutic exercise techniques and mobility training
• Knowledge of documentation standards and outcome tracking
• Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt interventions based on patient response
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
• Basic competency with common rehab equipment and assistive devices
