Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care during assigned 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shifts
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions for individuals with MST-related needs
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, timely care
• Document care clearly and accurately to support continuity and quality
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity about treatments and resources
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (California license required for practice in-state)
• Experience or specialized training related to MST (Military Sexual Trauma) is highly valued
• Current BLS; ACLS or other certifications as required by facility or assignment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and adapt to varied settings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of nursing assessment, medication administration, and care planning
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles, especially related to MST
• Skilled in patient education and family-centered communication
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and manage time effectively during busy shifts
