Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for patients on MST
Assess patient condition and implement individual care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor telemetry and other vital signs, escalating changes appropriately
Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the care team
Collaborate with physicians, therapists and support staff to coordinate care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
Experience or familiarity with MST (medical-surgical/telemetry) preferred
BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred
Comfortable working per diem shifts and adapting to different units
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
BSN preferred but ADN considered

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and care planning expertise
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Proficient with electronic health record documentation
Ability to prioritize, multitask and respond to changing patient needs
