Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop effective care plans
• Monitor ventilators, hemodynamics, and other advanced life-support equipment
• Administer medications and interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-focused care
• Document clinical findings and interventions clearly and promptly
• Respond to emergencies with calm, decisive action and follow established protocols
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, and discharge needs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure (state-required) — ready to practice
• ICU clinical experience and comfort managing critically ill patients
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and/or PALS preferred if available
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork mindset in fast-paced environments
• Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to adapt in per-diem roles

Education

• ADN or BSN in Nursing; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of ICU monitoring: ventilators, invasive lines, hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficiency with cardiac rhythms and titratable drips
• Skilled in acute patient assessment and rapid clinical decision-making
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to educate and support patients and families during critical illness
