Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the emergency department
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care across a wide range of acute conditions
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage emergency interventions safely
• Coordinate with physicians, techs, and support staff to optimize patient flow
• Document patient care and communicate changes clearly in the medical record
• Respond decisively to changing patient conditions and escalate appropriately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Experience working in Emergency Nursing or a fast-paced acute care setting
• Comfortable with per diem/variable scheduling and overnight coverage
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid assessment skills
• IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and basic procedures
• Familiarity with emergency protocols and acute care nursing workflows
• Proficient with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize under pressure and manage multiple critical patients
