Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patient status throughout the shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document clinical care clearly and thoroughly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust care plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Respond promptly to emergent situations and escalate concerns as needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred or as applicable
- Experience working as an RN in acute care or relevant clinical setting preferred
- Familiarity or experience with MST care considerations is a plus
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Infection control and safety best practices
- Patient and family education techniques
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple clinical tasks under pressure
