Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize lifesaving care
• Administer and monitor treatments such as cardioversion, TNK administration, and moderate sedation with precision and safety
• Collaborate with providers and the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute patient-focused care plans
• Document care thoroughly in Meditech to maintain continuity and compliance
• Provide patient and family education with empathy and clear communication during high-stress moments
• Maintain readiness for advanced life support interventions and lead resuscitation efforts when needed

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (required) — able to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Certifications: BLS and ALS/TNCC/ENPC or PALS (ALS/BLS/TNCC/ENPC or PALS listed as must-haves)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience required; 2 years ED experience preferred
• Comfortable with emergency procedures including cardioversion, TNK, and moderate sedation
• Experience with Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Team player with flexibility, positive demeanor, and ability to work nights and weekends

Education

• Active RN license (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record workflow
• Triage and rapid assessment skills in high-acuity ED settings
• Competence in emergency procedures and monitoring (cardioversion, moderate sedation, thrombolytics)
• Strong communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary environments
• Ability to manage a typical ED patient ratio (approximately 4:1) while maintaining quality care
• Familiarity with standard ED equipment (Welch Allyn/GE) and unit policies
