Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed (RN - ICU)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
Continuously assess and monitor patient condition and respond to changes
Administer medications and manage complex IV/infusion therapies safely
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team on care plans
Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other critical care equipment
Document care clearly and thoroughly in the electronic health record
Support and educate patients and families during critical moments

Qualifications

Current RN license in Louisiana (or compact RN eligible)
BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
Experience working in an ICU or critical care environment
Comfort with 12-hour shift models and the pace of critical care
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-focused setting

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Ventilator management and respiratory support
Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
Familiarity with EHR documentation and clinical workflows
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond in emergencies
