Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate and provide direct patient care during endoscopy procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP and EUS
• Support advanced procedures such as EBUS and robotic bronchoscopy with skilled perioperative nursing
• Perform preoperative assessments and PACU care, ensuring safe handoffs and excellent patient experience
• Manage scope reprocessing workflows and operate washers (OER Elite) to maintain high infection control standards
• Document procedures, assessments and care thoroughly using Meditech Expanse and Provation
• Collaborate with the procedural team, participate in pre-shift huddles and maintain effective communication across disciplines
• Adhere to unit policies, patient ratios and safety protocols while fostering a patient-centered environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse credentials per facility requirements (credentials per scope of practice)
• Ability to perform advanced endoscopy procedures (ERCP, EUS) — must have advanced procedure competency
• Requested experience circulating in endoscopy/perioperative settings; job lists Experience: 2 (years) and notes credentials/experience should be more than 1 year depending on scope
• Comfortable functioning as a circulating RN in a 1:1 circ ratio and supporting PACU and preop workflows
• Familiarity with scope reprocessing and endoscopy-specific equipment

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with Olympus endoscopes and ION robotic systems
• Scope reprocessing and use of OER Elite washer
• Proficient documentation skills in Meditech Expanse and Provation
• Strong perioperative nursing skills including circulating RN and PACU support
• Ability to support advanced procedures: ERCP, EUS, EBUS and robotic bronchoscopy
