Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and act quickly on changes in rhythm
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Complete required competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence
• Maintain infection control and safety standards, including required health screenings

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (license/certificate verification required)
• Experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications (listed as required)
• Successful completion of facility-specific competency testing (Trinity specialties)
• Ability to pass required health screenings: drug screen, fit test, immunizations, etc.

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Med/Surg patient assessment and care planning
• Strong clinical decision-making and rapid response skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Familiarity with facility competency checklists and specialty testing
