Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in the PACU, ensuring safe recovery and comfort
Continuously monitor vital signs and recovery status and intervene promptly when needed
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the perioperative team to ensure safe handoffs and coordinated care
Educate and support families about recovery expectations and discharge instructions
Accurately document patient care and contribute to quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Missouri
Experience in PACU and pediatric nursing (as indicated in the posting)
Ability to work 10-hour shifts as part of the perioperative team
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines

Knowledge & Skills

Post-anesthesia care principles with a pediatric focus
Monitoring and interpreting pediatric vital signs and recovery indicators
Pain management and post-op care for children
Effective family-centered communication and education
Perioperative teamwork and safe handoff practices
