Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory care to pediatric patients using evidence-based practices
• Perform respiratory assessments, treatments and monitoring for infants, children and adolescents
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and the care team to develop and carry out patient care plans
• Document patient status, interventions and progress accurately in the medical record
• Participate in orientation, ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Credentialed Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) preferred
• Active Ohio respiratory care license or ability to obtain state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Experience or strong interest in pediatric respiratory care is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to complete required orientation and work the scheduled shift pattern

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy management
• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring for pediatric populations
• Familiarity with pediatric respiratory protocols and equipment
• Proficient documentation and electronic medical record usage
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Collaborative approach to interdisciplinary care
