Candidate Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist clinicians with patient intake, taking vitals and recording medical histories
Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and instruments are ready and sanitized
Administer basic clinical tasks under supervision, such as wound care and injections if certified
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families
Support scheduling, check-in/check-out, and coordination of patient flow
Participate in orientation and training to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
Medical Assistant diploma or certificate program completion preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
Ability to handle clinical tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and follow protocols
Previous clinic or ambulatory care experience preferred but new grads are welcome to apply

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable taking vital signs and performing routine clinical procedures
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
Skilled at patient communication and compassionate bedside manner
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks in a busy clinic
Team player who supports clinicians, nurses, and administrative staff
Basic infection control and safety practices
