Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg pediatric patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and document clinical findings clearly
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy safely and according to protocol
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow individualized care plans
Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and follow-up needs
Participate in orientation activities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri
Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing; pediatric experience a strong fit for this role
Current BLS certification required; pediatric certifications such as PALS are a plus
Comfort with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in pediatric and med/surg patient assessment and monitoring
Medication administration and IV management competence
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with infection control, patient safety practices, and clinical protocols
Good critical thinking skills and collaborative approach to patient care
