Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Take and record vital signs accurately and on time
Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control practices
Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
Document care thoroughly in the patient record and participate in shift handoffs

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (comfortable assisting with obtaining or verifying if needed)
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Clear TB and immunization records as required by the facility
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; valid CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and ADLs
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
Basic charting and documentation skills (electronic or paper charts)
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
