Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic imaging services using X-ray and fluoroscopy (including C-arm and OR support) to deliver high-quality patient care
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment following manufacturer recommendations and department protocols
• Practice radiation safety and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff
• Verify exam orders, identify patients using two identifiers, obtain informed consent, and educate patients about procedures
• Review and document patient medical history, ensure prior studies and paperwork are available for Radiologist interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records and charge appropriately in the EHR/PACS/RIS systems
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service calls when outside maintenance is required
• Assist with clerical duties, patient transport, supply inventory, and training or cross-training of imaging staff as directed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Preferred prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, use independent judgment, and demonstrate flexibility for schedule adjustments

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT (R) registration required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required or to be obtained within 90 days

Knowledge & Skills

• Image acquisition and protocol adherence
• Radiation safety (ALARA) and patient identification
• Proficiency with X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR imaging
• Familiarity with CT, MRI, DEXA, and Mammography (preferred)
• Experience with EHR, PACS, RIS/HIS and electronic records workflows
• Equipment troubleshooting, supply inventory management, and basic clerical duties
• Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
