Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
Assist with feeding, toileting, and safe transfers while promoting dignity and independence
Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment
Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care
Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — PA certification preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain per facility policy)
Comfortable providing direct patient care with attention to safety and dignity
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings per facility requirements
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
Basic clinical observations (vital signs, reporting changes)
Infection prevention and proper use of PPE
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
Compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
