Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with mobility, bathing, dressing, and grooming safely
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly
- Maintain accurate resident documentation and charting
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
- Follow infection control procedures and promote a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Valid work authorization for Pennsylvania (as applicable)
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program or equivalent
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA/nursing assistant training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and bedside skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Clear communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
- Basic charting and electronic medical record (EMR) familiarity
