Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts (exact start/end times and days to be determined with facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling to promote comfort and safety
Maintain a clean, respectful environment and follow infection control practices
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients and families to support care plans
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent patient care

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
Authorization to practice as a CNA in Pennsylvania
High school diploma or GED preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; compassionate bedside manner
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting patients
Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background check and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED; active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Foundational nursing care and patient hygiene practices
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Safe patient transfer and positioning techniques
Infection prevention and control procedures
Teamwork, time management and effective communication with clinical staff
