Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care and therapies to patients across the unit
Administer and monitor ventilator management and respiratory treatments
Assess patient respiratory status and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team
Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
Educate patients and families on airway management and at-home respiratory care
Participate in orientation and support new team members as they onboard

Qualifications

Current Respiratory Therapist license valid in Missouri (or eligible to obtain)
Credentialed as RRT or CRT preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable
Clinical experience in respiratory care; recent graduates with strong clinical training encouraged to apply
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Education

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate degree or higher preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation strategies
Skilled in airway management, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medication delivery
Patient assessment and clinical decision-making in acute and chronic respiratory conditions
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
