Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Specialty Clinic team to improve patient flow, quality, and safety
- Partner with the Director of Specialty Services and Scheduling Supervisor to optimize schedules and referral coordination
- Standardize and refine workflows to reduce wait times and enhance the patient experience
- Ensure clinical policies, procedures, and competencies are current and consistently followed
- Monitor key metrics and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Oversee staffing, recruitment, orientation, and professional development for clinic personnel
- Maintain Joint Commission readiness and regulatory compliance for ambulatory services
- Manage equipment, supplies, and clinic resources to support high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the U.S. (Alaska license or ability to obtain within hire timeline)
- Minimum 5 years of varied RN experience, including at least 1 year in ambulatory care
- At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in healthcare
- Active BLS certification
- Clinical competency and manager competency to be completed within 3 months of hire (and maintained per policy)
- Proven leadership, change management, and team-building skills
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform clinical tasks as needed
Education
- Associate's degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of the nursing process and ambulatory care practices
- Experience with patient flow management, staffing, and workflow standardization
- Quality improvement and QA/QI monitoring skills
- Familiarity with Joint Commission readiness and regulatory compliance
- Competence with EHR/computer systems and common medical equipment
- Strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
