Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry patients closely and interpret cardiac rhythms to keep patients safe
• Perform thorough assessments and reassessments, responding to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following evidence-based protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Provide patient and family education with empathy and clear communication
• Participate in unit-based safety and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact-state eligibility
• Previous telemetry or acute-care nursing experience with comfort interpreting ECGs
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• IV medication administration and infusion pump familiarity
• Proficient documentation in electronic medical records
• Critical thinking, triage, and rapid response to clinical changes
• Patient education and family-centered care practices
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
