Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality primary care to patients across the lifespan — newborns through geriatrics — following adopted clinical protocols
Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions while collaborating with supervising physicians
Initiate and adjust treatment plans responsibly, consulting physicians as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document care accurately and efficiently in the patient record and maintain timely charting
Educate patients and families on prevention, treatment plans, medications, and self-care to support long-term health
Participate in clinic quality improvement, case management, and interprofessional coordination to enhance patient care

Qualifications

Current California Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner license required
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or current NP certification (ANCC, AANP, PNCB, NCC, or AACN)
Primary care clinic experience required; comfortable treating patients from newborns to geriatrics
Current AHA BLS required; AHA ACLS required if working in an inpatient setting
Strongly preferred bilingual English/Spanish candidates

Education

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (per California Board of Registered Nursing standards)

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with primary care clinical protocols and evidence-based practice
Strong patient assessment and diagnostic skills across all ages
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Proficiency with clinical documentation and EHR workflows
Ability to collaborate with supervising physicians and the care team
