Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in med/surg and pediatric populations
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to support recovery and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate efficient, high-quality care
• Document patient status, care provided, and changes in condition clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Participate in orientation activities and support onboarding of new staff as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Washington (required)
• Experience or comfort working in Med/Surg and pediatric patient care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (recommended or required depending on facility)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
• Ability to complete orientation and required facility training

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — facility may accept either

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of med/surg nursing principles and pediatric care basics
• Skill in patient assessment, medication administration, and charting
• Comfort with electronic health record documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
