Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care on a med/surg pediatric unit
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent patient outcomes
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
Advocate for patient safety, quality, and comfort at every step

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; Missouri licensure or compact nurse licensure preferred
Experience or strong interest in med/surg and pediatric nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of med/surg nursing principles with pediatric focus
Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients safely
Comfort working as part of an interdisciplinary care team
