Shift Type: 5-hour shifts (specific start/end times to be confirmed), orientation required, Med/Surg (Peds)

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for Med/Surg pediatric patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions
Document patient status and interventions clearly and timely in the medical record
Participate in orientation activities and support new team members during onboarding

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts (or compact/proper authorization)
Experience or strong interest in Med/Surg care with a pediatric focus
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications encouraged
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Comfortable with clinical documentation, medication administration, and patient education

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and focused pediatric Med/Surg care
Safe medication administration and IV/line management
Familiarity with hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety practices
Strong charting and electronic medical record (EMR) documentation skills
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in fast-paced situations
