Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly identify rhythm changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns to appropriate clinicians
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills validation

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in Iowa) and successful license verification
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred/required as listed
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass required pre-employment health screening: fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, and required immunizations
• Comfort with Med/Surg telemetry patient population and telemetry monitoring

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Med/Surg patient assessment and clinical prioritization
• Safe medication administration and documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Ability to perform required competency testing and follow facility protocols
• Basic competency with electronic charting and clinical documentation
