Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a medical-surgical unit
• Assess and monitor patients, ensuring timely interventions and excellent outcomes
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency response

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (LA license or RN compact where applicable)
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts with stamina and excellent prioritization
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
• Strong clinical assessment, IV, and medication administration skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and standards of care
• Patient assessment, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time under pressure
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
