Bill Rate: $52,041.60 - $71,557.20 (without national certification); $57,241.60 - $78,707.20 (with national certification)

Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub and assist in cardiovascular OR procedures with precision and adherence to sterile technique
Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and equipment for CVOR cases
Provide perioperative patient care across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure smooth case flow
Respond professionally and promptly while on-call to support urgent CVOR needs
Document instrument counts, case details, and equipment issues accurately in the patient record

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (required for hires post-2009)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with required Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) specialty experience
BCLS certification
Certification by an approved body (e.g., NBSTSA - CST or NCCT - TS-C)
Ability to function independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain patient confidentiality

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (required for hires post-2009)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient scrubbing across all patient age groups (neonate to geriatric)
Sterile technique and perioperative patient care expertise
Strong computer and keyboarding skills for documentation
Sound judgment, tact, and effective communication within the perioperative team
Ability to work independently within established unit protocols

Benefits
