Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise approximately 45 FTEs across Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental Services — build a strong, safety-first team
• Direct daily maintenance of utility systems to ensure continuous heat, steam, power, gas and medical gases for patient care
• Develop and enforce preventative maintenance programs to keep equipment and facilities running reliably
• Ensure regulatory compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS and local building/fire codes — protect patients, staff and the organization
• Manage contractor compliance and oversee construction phasing to minimize disruption and meet project goals
• Create job-specific customer service expectations and training plans to elevate interdepartmental service
• Act as an effective liaison with other departments to assess needs, develop action plans and deliver operational solutions
• Inspect equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions, applying engineering principles to detect and repair issues promptly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of personnel management experience (supervising multidisciplinary teams preferred)
• Solid hands-on knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC and general building maintenance
• Experience with autoclaving, bio-waste handling, life safety codes and environmental services operations
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to diagnose and repair equipment or system malfunctions
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area (required)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field (preferred)
