Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care and treatments tailored to each patient
Perform clinical assessments and monitor patient respiratory status
Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators and airway devices
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families on respiratory health, therapies, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and communicate changes in condition

Qualifications

Active Washington state Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
CRT or RRT credential preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
Comfortable with ventilator management and common respiratory therapies
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Previous acute care or hospital experience is a plus

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or completion of an accredited respiratory program
Completion of clinical training and relevant credentialing

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of ventilator modes and respiratory equipment operation
Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and adjust therapy accordingly
Proficiency with patient monitoring and documentation in electronic health records
Infection control practices and safe airway management
Patient education techniques and compassionate bedside manner
