Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shifts
• Perform thorough assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and self-care plans
• Support a positive unit culture through teamwork, professionalism, and mentorship

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (or compact RN license valid for NM)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications are a plus
• Clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Able to work 12+ hour night shifts and maintain safe, high-quality care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic health records and charting best practices
• Skilled in wound care, mobility assistance, and restorative nursing principles
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle fast-paced situations
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with patients, families, and care teams
