Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents, promoting dignity and independence
- Perform thorough clinical assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care
- Document clinical findings and interventions clearly in the electronic medical record
- Monitor and respond to changes in resident condition, escalating concerns promptly
- Support families with education and compassionate communication
- Adhere to infection control standards and facility policies to maintain a safe environment
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact multistate license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical RN experience; experience in long-term care or rehab is a plus
- Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to pass background and health screenings required by the facility
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and critical thinking
- Medication administration and safe IV/infusion practices
- Wound care and treatment plan implementation
- Accurate electronic charting and documentation
- Time management and prioritization for 12-hour shifts
- Resident- and family-centered care approach
- Ability to follow facility policies and regulatory requirements
