Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs, observe changes, and report concerns promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document resident care accurately and timely in the charting system
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols to protect residents and staff
• Create warm, person-centered interactions that promote resident comfort and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• CPR/BLS certification required (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Previous CNA experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills — you’ll be part of a close-knit care team
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and adapt to the needs of a dynamic care environment

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active state CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing care
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety protocols
• Comfortable with electronic charting or willingness to learn the facility’s EMR
• Strong interpersonal skills — empathy, patience, and clear communication
• Time management and prioritization during busy shift periods
