Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and resident changes accurately
• Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to the RN/LPN and document care thoroughly
• Support residents’ emotional needs with patience, respect, and dignity
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active/new Mexico CNA listing or eligibility to practice in New Mexico
• Local candidates only as indicated in the order notes
• Previous experience in long-term care or a similar clinical setting preferred
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care fundamentals and hands-on caregiving skills
• Accurate charting and attention to detail
• Ability to follow care plans and clinical instructions
• Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support colleagues
